Indianapolis Colts Team Info

The Colts Peyton Manning is undoubtedly among the best quarterbacks in the NFL and worth the price of seats all by himself. Luckily for the Indianapolis faithful, Manning is not the only reason to root for the Colts this season.  Last year’s disappointing loss in the Divisional Round of the Playoffs left a bad taste in the mouths of the Colts, one that would disappear with a Super Bowl championship. And with Manning at the controls of Indy’s high-octane attack, the Colts have the looks of big-time contenders once again.

In 2005, the Colts burst out the gates, winning their first 13 games in convincing fashion. The hot start had football fans across the world whispering about a possible undefeated season. That ended in resounding fashion with a 26-17 loss in Week 14. Tragedy struck the team around the same time. Head coach Tony Dungy’s son committed suicide, stunning the club as they prepared for the playoffs. It’s hard to believe the Colts ever fully recovered from tragedy in time for their second-round game. It certainly appeared to have an impact on the Colts during the game.

Manning and company are back again, this time armed with a clutch kicker. They’ll be looking to erase the memories of last year’s crushing end to the season. They’ll have to do it without the services of running back Edgerrin James, who was signed away. Don’t feel too sorry for Manning, though. He’s got plenty of weapons to work with, including future Hall of Fame receiver Marvin Harrison. The pieces are in place for another run. So join in all the action by reserving your colts seats today.
